Pittsburgh Airport Marriott Hotel suffered damages of a tornado in 2024 which left their courtyard in need of repair. Working closely with the hotel management, sub-contractors, and a local artist, the courtyard refresh was completed in time for the 2025 wedding season. Programming included a new large fire sculpture, an enlarged and redesigned Koi pond, a new ADA complaint fire table, new pavement, landscape bed edging, utility screening, and lighting. Much of the original landscape against the building was able to be preserved, and a couple newer trees that were spared in the storm were able to be relocated in the new design, ensuring the design was met within budget.
